I really dislike the category. Our league is already so centre/big man focused with our starting roster requirements; when you add in turnovers then guard heavy teams are put at an even bigger disadvantage. The current NBA is overly guard focused (there’s guys like 6’9” playing centre) maybe it’s time we adjust our rules to mirror the nba a bit more.
Proposal — eliminate turnovers as a category then either replace it with another category (I don’t know what is available) or have it with one less category.

Ok here are the available stat categories in basketball at Yahoo. We currently have 9 categories in our league and i want to keep it at an odd number to prevent ties an would prefer not to go back to 7. Not a lot of choices that make sense but if we can come to an agreement before the season starts we will look at a change. Just one note that some GM's may draft players with low TO rate in mind so they may not want to eliminate that category.

I did vote yes for change but could go either way on this. If we did replace the CAT w/ something else, Assist/TO ratio would be my vote

I am the same as Dogs. I proposed the change, but can live with it as is. My vote would also be assist/to ratio to make it a more guard positive stat since most of the guys we are playing nowadays are smaller players.

I'm in another league that is 11 categories (not suggested this 9 is the right number) but to give you an idea here are the cats:
Field Goal Percentage (FG%), Free Throw Percentage (FT%), 3-point Shots Made (3PTM), Points Scored (PTS), Offensive Rebounds (OREB), Defensive Rebounds (DREB), Assists (AST), Steals (ST), Blocked Shots (BLK), Turnovers (TO), Assist/Turnover Ratio (A/T)
