Traditionally we have used a 4 week timeline and beyond in hockey when allowing people to use IR in the contract league. The point is this is a contract league that runs like a real league and teams cannot IR players in real life unless the injury is more long term
When posting players for IR please include the following information:
- Length of injury - Type of injury if known - Link to article from a reputable source (Rotoworld, NHL.com, team page, NBC, CBS, TSN, RDS, etc.) - Any other relevant information
The burden is on you as the manager to provide specific facts to prove the player has a long term injury and as such should be eligible for IR. Leaving out information risks having the processor reject the claim if they cannot find enough information. Also it makes our jobs easier if you provide us all the information upfront.
Please DM me on Discord if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thanks.
