The FSC Network,
I am sure that most of you have read Oaville A’s post that he will be stepping away from his position as head of the FSC Network. It is very sad to see Oakville go since he was not only an original member of AML who helped run it’s day to day operations and a great competitor in all four sports on the site but a great friend to those that worked under him. We will miss you Oak and wish you the best in all that you do.
The Network took a big blow earlier this year when Mark announced that AML would be ceasing as a network but through the efforts of a few volunteers and the support of the network members we decided to not allow the network to end. We built a new site, added a chat and a forum and spent many hours transferring data from the old AML site to the newly named FSC Fantasy Sports Coalition site. It seemed a little dicey at first but it all seemed to come together and when the dust had settled from the Baseball Drafts we were on our way toward a new chapter in the Network.Although Oak is leaving we are still committed to soldiering forward with the network and have plans to keep offering quality dynasty leagues in Baseball,Hockey,Football and Basketball.
As we looked at restructuring the board and looked to find the best people to facilitate the needs of the network,Easy Freese and Myself have decided to work as co-heads to make sure that things run smoothly. Freese and I were asked by Oakville to help get the new site running.Easy Freese built the web site and forum and has spent many hours of his time making sure there was a home for FSC.He did this because he believed the network was too important to all of you to let it just go away. Easy Freese will also be over Baseball. I will continue to watch over Basketball,Edmonton Crunch will remain as the Hockey Guy and since Madhouse has scaled back Lannister Lions will be watching over Football. We decided that our contract leagues were not getting the attention they deserved so we decided to create a new position. Lake Michigan Whales will be heading up the new VP of Contract leagues position. He is very passionate and knowledgeable and we are lucky to have him on board.
There have been some glitches with the new site.We have had some issues with trying to find the right chat for the web site. The current chat is working ok but we felt we needed a better way to communicate for trades and just being able to contact someone quickly. Thanks to the efforts of Lake Michigan Whales(LMW) he has set up a Group-Me account that should provide a better outlet for trades and general communication for the network.
I have checked our baseball leagues and as always i am amazed at how much involvement there is in setting daily rosters. I have only seen a few issues with the NA rule this year and just want to thank all of you for your continued dedication to these leagues and your teams in all sports.Great Job!
We will continue to work on improving the network and hope that you will provide feedback. If you know of something that needs changing.,just reply to this post with your suggestions. We hope that you will be patient as we work to keep the network headed in the right direction. We can only do this with the help and support of all of you who have been so faithful through the years and we thank you for all that you do.This Network does not exist without each of you.Thank You.
