To summarize here are the rules:
Here are the rules for the draft:
1. Draft begins promptly at 12:00pm EST on Saturday July 7th
2. Draft time for picks is 6 hours and the clock will stop between 12:00am EST and 8:00am EST. Once a team drafts a player a new 6 hour window will start for the next GM on the clock (OTC)
3. If you do not make your pick after 6 hours your pick will be skipped.
4. If you miss 2 consecutive picks (6 hours expires) when your 3rd consecutive pick comes up it will automatically be skipped without waiting the 6 hours. This resets if you catch up your picks before your 3rd one is on the clock.
5. Continual pick misses can result in your replacement in the league. Remember this is a highly active league.
6. To speed things up you can leave a list of your picks with someone who will make your pick according to the list should you know you will be away and not be able to make your selection potentially.
7. Prospects are any player drafted to an NHL that has less than 25 games played in the NHL and is not currently in one of our minor systems or on someone’s main roster.
** Refer to fantasysportscoalition.wordpress.com/2018/04/11/amended-new-rules-for-contract-leagues/#more-3527 ** Rules are being grandfathered in, this year the minimum games played is 25 and next year's minor league draft will be running on an 82 game minimum
8. Minor League Rosters are limited to 15 players. If you reach your limit during the draft and wish to add more players you must announce at the time of selection to draft another player. You cannot go over and then drop players after the draft to reach your limit. Any GM caught going over the roster limit may be subject to a penalty which may include the forfeiture of future draft picks.
9. Exceptions to rules 2 and 3 above are provided to Blue Flames are he lives in Australia. His clock stops between 12AM and 8 AM Melbourne time (+14 hours time difference = 2 PM and 10 PM EST
10. Remember to have fun and keep it respectful. I know the draft can be stressful but at the end of the day we're here for fun.
Thanks and good luck
