Deadline move to wake everyone up and give the post deadline analysers something to talk about.
Flames send:
Patrick Kane, $16.25 in 2017-18 cap and two 2019 4th round picks
Hitmen send:
Joonas Korpisalo, prospect Tage Thompson and their 2019 2nd round pick.
I feel that at his age, Korpisalo has a lot of growth and is under a reasonable contract for a few more years, i also want some forward prospect depth and i feel i am lacking here, so very happy adding Thompson. The 2nd round pick obviously is a good asset for a rebuilding team. I also am happy freeing up some cap for next season, as i want to redirect it during free agency based on where i feel i have some gaps.
