Lions agrees to this deal. I feel like I need one more piece to help me contend with the upper tier teams come playoff time, and I didn't want to give up a lot. I think I got a good piece at the cost of just one young player. I like Jankowski's potential, but O'Reilly is a big upgrade for now. The addition of him and Carter from I.R., I hope, will be enough to let me battle with the big boys!

Flames agree. O'Reilly is playing well, but I don't have any intention of resigning him. As a Flames fan, I've been watching Jankowski for years and see a fair bit of up side, particularly at the price. Happy adding a young piece to hold onto for a few years.
