I feel very strongly about keeping it at 6.

I'm just curious as to the reason? I understand we all view things differently so I'd love to hear what I might not be seeing. I find it kind of a weak way to win the championship compared to the dynasty leagues where your odds are harder at winning the championship. Contract is suppose to be the top league in all FCS and I just don't see any logic in making it easier for a top team to win. Once again, just my opinion and would love to hear feedback as to why its better the way it is.

If you look back in past I have suggested that normal league go to 6 team playoffs.
My reason is we have a 20 week regular season it should matter as much as possible and the more team that make the playoffs the less it will matter. Regular season is 20 weeks playoffs is only 3 weeks.
My main reason is I feel a .500 team or a team will a losing record has no business in the playoffs. If you look at our leagues where 8 teams make the playoffs that is happening 80% of the time.

Right on. I appreciate your thoughts. I see where your coming from with wanting strong teams in the playoffs, however I still find it as an extremely less rewarding way to win it all.

Sorry, last comment I promise lol. don't want to kick a dead horse anymore after this.
I don't think that finishing in 7th or 8th and having a worse record than 3-6th means your worse than those teams. The matchups in the regular season can easily place you somewhere you might not have really earned if you faced a couple rebuilding teams whereas 7-8th only faced the rebuilders once in the reg season.
Anyways, that's all I'm saying lol. Bring on the playoffs!

I agree with Hitmen on this one. More emphasis needs to be placed on season-long excellence.

I feel that the more teams involved in the playoff races the better. It's more exciting and keeps more people involved longer. And even with 6 teams a 7-6 record can win a division and earn a bye and win it all as what happened last year in contract football. 9 teams in the league had the same record or better than the league champions...which is perfectly fine. Congrats again Lannister Lions !

Just thought I would bump this where we have new teams and potentially new ideas/opinions.
Basketball contract just started playoffs and its top 8. I ask, what's the difference besides it's a different sport?

I would like to see either expand to 8 but keep pick compensation for top 2 or leave at top 6 but remove pick compensation. Prefer leaving at 6.

I’m in the leave it the same group of managers and would have been in 2018 also… Playoffs should just be the best teams of the season and not watered down…
