I did this trade because I like what Van Riemsdyk brings to the table. I have tried waiving the other 3 so I know where their value is at and although I like the goaltending prospects, that's the cost to aquire Van Riemsdyke.

This trade helps boost both areas, particularly with no prospects in net.
JVR walks at the end of season anyway, so I think this is a positive result for both teams.
