7.2.4.3 When the auction is over, the auction winner must declare the player’s contract length. If no declaration is made within twenty-four (24) hours, the contract will be assigned a one (1) year term. A GM cannot add a player to their active roster until contract details have been assigned.
So, it seems like the auction was won on 8/28 at 5:41PM, so you should have until 5:41PM on 8/29 to declare a contract length. We should get confirmation from a board member.

Yes, last bid was 27th. I think he just rolls into a 1 year contract because "someone" forgot to post a signing note. Got caught up in the Bergeron excitement!
