This transaction is to be reversed as Voracek was claimed in error and put BSB over the cap limit. Player will be on waivers and once transactions open up again (will post about this), he will be eligible for claim

I have a dumb question.
Voracek's contact expires in 2017 and he wasn't re-signed by Ogie.
I noticed that BSB re-signed him, but it doesn't seem like he is allowed to as he cannot claim due to being over the limit?
Doesn't he just become a free agent? as Ogie didn't resign him and BSB couldn't claim him.
Not overly concerned, just trying to understand how the mechanics work.

Good question!
He will become a free agent, but the issue is that no manager can go over the cap and BSB's claim puts him over. If Ogie doesn't resign him he will become a free agent, but free agency hasn't hit yet therefore he is still technically not a free agent.
