Good Afternoon Faithful Contract GMs,
As we launch the Fantasy Sports Coalition Network I wanted to start things off in the right direction by taking a few minutes of your time to say "Sorry" for the past.
As many of you know by now before AML announced its shut down I was moved into a new position away from running the day to day operations of the contract leagues to try and help more administratively in other areas of the network. For me that meant I was taking a more hands off approach to the contract leagues and personally I only checked it when I was making a transaction and being a normal GM. I was told by previous administration that all was in good hands and I had nothing to worry about.
Then the announcement happened, my admin support network was gone, and very quickly I realized there was a lot to do in a short period of time. What I hadn't planned for was in some ways the complete collapse of the contract system. Processors were not clearly explained their roles, commissioners existed in some leagues and not others. No one was really checking for legal and illegal transactions and worst of all GMs had basically abandoned teams and nothing was being done about it.
That is on me and for that I wanted to issue this apology. I was too busy with life and with getting the new FSC Network off the ground to realize I was causing issues by my assuming that the problems would fix themselves in time. I let you all down as GMs and while I was dealing with 500 hundred other things I did not give the contract leagues the attention they needed and deserved. To each and every GM I am sorry from the bottom of my heart for the way things were handled under the previous administration and I have learned so much over the past three months in how systems need to be in place to effectively run these leagues.
As a result this is my Guarantee:
1. Every Contract League will have a Commissioner, who will be appointed by myself to oversee the complete operation of their given sports contract league. This person will not be a processor on any other sheet in another contract league.
2. The commissioner will have complete power to rule as they see fit using the FSC Network rules as guidelines. Where consultation is need the commissioner can confer with myself and the board for further discussion before an issue is handled.
3. The commissioner will be equipped with 2 sheet processors, who along with the commissioner will handle the day to day operations of the contract league. They will be responsible for ensuring that all transactions are legal and things are processed in a timely manner.
I cannot change the past, but I can change the future. Rest assured that I am working tirelessly to ensure that the mistakes of the past will not happen again and that here at FSC we are fully committed to making the contract leagues into the strong leagues they once were.
Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to some very competitive contract leagues in 2016.
