Standard Baseball NA Rule Clarified For New Members

I know since renewal started for our baseball leagues and with all our available teams posted many of you are wanting to have the NA clarified especially since we had the survey sent out to the network last year for review. First let me start off my staying thank you to all those that provided feedback through the survey. We received close to 50 responses from GMs across all our baseball leagues and we have reviewed the responses and using the feedback you provided we have altered the NA rule slightly.

Here is the NA rule as it will stand for this season as approved by the AML board.

NA Rule: All standard leagues will continue to utilize 3 NA slots for the purpose of stashing talented players while still maintaining a competitive and fair balanced active roster. A team may only carry 3 NA players in these slots and must be in compliance by the start of the regular MLB season (Sunday, April 3rd, 2016). Any NA player listed on your roster on April 3rd at the start of the first MLB game will be immediately removed by the commissioner to the waiver wire. Please read NA exceptions below.

NA Exceptions:

1. Any player, regardless of age, free agent or prospect, can be placed on the NA slot meaning as long as yahoo has given them an NA designation the only way they can be on their roster is in the NA slot. The only exception being any player suspended by the MLB must remain on your active roster.

2. Teams will be allowed to carry one NA player on their active roster during the season as long as the player started the season in the MLB and was sent down to the minors at some point during the season.

Grace Period:

1. Outside of the start of the MLB season, should a player become NA for any reason besides suspension, that GM will have 7 days to either make room in their NA slots via dropping someone or via trade before punishment will be enforced.

Punishment:

First Violation: Immediately removal of NA player by commissioner from the offending GMs roster.

Second Violation: Immediately removal of NA player by commissioner from offending GMs roster plus the benching of the entire teams roster for the Saturday following the infraction.

Third Violation: Immediate replacement in the league and possible removal from the network pending board review.

In essence the NA rule is the exact same as last season except we did away with the age and prospect restrictions and opened one active roster spot for players that make their MLB teams but get sent down later. We understand this still may not be perfect but these changes were the overwhelming majority from the survey. If you have any questions please either post below or PM me directly here.

I'm not sure if this is the correct place, but I would like to file an official complaint for a violation of the NA rule in FSC Baseball Dynasty 2. Team Canada picked up Jung Ho Kang on June 5th and left him on his active roster until June 13th. That's 9 days.... During that time I voiced a complaint to Dynasty 2 commissioner Edmonton Crunch (Meron) three times with no action taken by him except to inform me that the move was legal under NA Exception #2. Kang was not on any MLB roster at the beginning of the current 2018 season and in fact he was banned from even entering the US and his return to MLB was in serious doubt. According to the Pirates, Kang was added to their 40 man roster on June 15th and sent to their triple A team in Indianapolis.

I'm asking that Jung Ho Kang be dropped from Team Canada's roster as a first violation of the NA rule as stated above.

Hi there,

I'm not sure where else to escalate this to, but in FSC Baseball Dynasty 10 the West Coast Sluggers are actively ignoring the N/A rule. Currently they have 9 N/A players but it has been going down and up with demotions and promotions. However, at the start of the season, they had 9 N/A including Nolan Gorman. Most of the N/A players aren't even projected to reach the majors in 2022.

After the reminder email was sent out in our league, I escalated this so to the FSC commissioner email. I was told that this would be looked into. There wasn't any change. 2 other managers have recently posted about West Coast Sluggers in the league forum, yet nothing has been done. I emailed the FSC gmail address on May 3, and never received a response.

If this is a rule that isn't enforced, it shouldn't be there. Even the league commissioner has ignored this rule with Mackenzie Gore on their bench at the start of the season (no MLB experience and not on the active roster).
