"B.My leagues don't really care for this rule, but they can live with it since it doesn't effect any returning managers - .........Ok - Any PlayOff team from previous season with a new team owner the next season loses their 3rd best player to the Draft. So if for some reason 3 team owners of PlayOff teams from the previous season do not come back - Then 3 good players (3rd best from each team) would go into Draft. This would strengthen the Draft at least a little and would still give the new owners a decent team......3rd best player - I use stats from Yahoo. Average stats of players from final roster. All players who played in at least 50 games are the qualifying players."
