Currently the rulebook states trade freeze will be applied once the league opens on Yahoo until after the supplemental draft.
Please note for baseball especially Yahoo is opening the sports sooner and sooner.
To be honest, I did not know this was the rule and let people trade in Baseball 2 when I was Commish. Now that I know that's not allowed I'd like to see this implemented. HOF, Team Canada, East Coast RBI can confirm how fun this was!
Here is the change I am proposing:
Trade freeze period is in effect at midnight, 5 days prior to the draft date. Trades can thus be enacted between when the league re-opens and 5 days before the draft and of course after draft until the regular season trade deadline.
Trades must contain an even number of draft picks, and as standard can only include Rounds 19-23 in trades as 1-18 are for keepers.
Trades cannot leave a team with less than 18 players
Trades are posted on the league message boards (different than usual), and Commissioner reviewed (as usual)
Trading can only start once all 20 teams are confirmed.

The 20 teams confirmed would be a problem since some leagues dont get all teams confirmed until right before the draft.
