I am posting on behalf of Margaritaville who is having issues posting on this forum.
Reference league: Basketball Dynasty 1
"4.Player Move Limits for entire season - Example - Top 4 teams down to bottom 4 teams - 12-15-18-21-24 Player Moves........This helps out the bottom teams some. Just another small advantage. And also keeps teams from streaming in the PlayOffs if there are limits. "

S-Man Fanatics 53-117-1 .313 17-63-1 59.5 - 5 4 Division 2 *1. New York Dragons 95-74-2 .561 51-30-0 14 - 18 35 *2. Thunder Monkeys 97-71-3 .576 46-33-2 11.5 - 2 3 *6. Edmonton Crunch 110-61-0 .643 51-30-0 - - 19 14 9. P.R. Panzers 93-77-1 .547 46-35-0 16.5 - 13 36 11. The Jetropolitans 90-77-4 .538 40-39-2 18 - 15 8 12. Rampage 76-92-3 .453 45-35-1 32.5 - 12 7 13. Oakville A's 73-96-2 .433 35-45-1 36 - 8 2 14. Fantasy Express 71-98-2 .421 34-46-1 38 - 11 7 16. Cellar Dwellers 67-104-0 .392 33-48-0 43 - 9 24 19. Beast Mode 54-115-2 .322 20-60-1 55 - 16 46 Not a bad idea. But as you can see the better teams tend to use a lot less moves anyways. Thunder, Hogs, Stark for example.

I would also purpose the opposite as well, maybe set aside 1 league that was intended for very active managers.....I make lots of moves based off daily research and enjoy it and my teams survive quite well I think. Just an idea to keep different kinds of managers interested instead of having to join multiple leagues to keep active. Both ideas would work in my opinion.

I will note all leagues are much more active than most outside leagues. The average FSC league is still very active

Can't help but respond to Team Canada on this. The top 10 teams in this Basketball 4 League last year averaged 14.6 player moves. The bottom 10 averaged 13.8 so the top teams actually made more moves. You conveniently left out New York Dragons 35 moves. And going by the 12-15-18-21-24 moves - 4 of 8 PlayOff teams were over the limit of 12 and 15. 50%. Non PlayOff teams were 4 of 12 over. 33%.

Sorry man, I'm not following what your saying. I was saying that I find it enjoyable to use moves based on what's going on in sports, not be restricted to only so many moves to help out the basement when it appears the basement dwellers don't tend to use lots of moves anyways(by choice). I quickly scanned thru hockey and a lot on the basement haven't made many moves....so in a way I see this as restricting the top to do nothing because the bottom doesn't wanna make any moves. That's just my opinion, not trying to be difficult lol. I'm sure everyone has their views of how to manage.

Also, thru my experience the basement teams don't want the moves because they want the next Lebron James and therefore are willing to leave a guy on the IR in a position slot to assist with that. Anyways, I do like the creativity, this was just my opinion on this specific topic.

Sorry about that Canada. It was Edmonton on Nov. 24th that said the better teams tend to use a lot less moves. I was just proving that statement to not be true.
And the last post......."Bottom teams want the next LeBron so they are willing to leave a guy on IR". What the hell does that mean ?? How is that going to get you the next LeBron by leaving a player on IR and not wanting player moves? I have a neighbor who used to smoke crack and he makes more sense than that.

All of the rule changes I posted were to try and help out the league as a whole as far as league parity goes. Example Basketball 1 - There are 11 +.500 teams and 9 -.500 teams. I can name the 11 and name the 9. I will be right on at least 18 of the 20 (if not all) by seasons end. The gap will only widen with the current set-up.
You guys seem to be missing the point. You are more interested in "your team" and not the leagues. Oh well.
Margaritaville.

To clarify: if you leave players on IR on your active roster you will lose more head to head points over the long haul. Losing points over the long haul will put you in the bottom of the standings therefore you will get the best picks which tend to be a James or in hockey Mcdavid.

As for only interested in our own teams...that's a load of crap man because I commented on/thought other ideas that were mentioned are really good. Can't all think and play the exact same.
