Currently the rule is that Free Agency closes one week after the trade deadline. This usually means that there are a couple of weeks left in our regular season when Free Agency is closed. This seems to me to be a bad idea.
For GMs in the playoff hunt it means that if they lose a player (or two or three) to injury in those weeks, they cannot replace them and may be short handed for the playoffs.
For GMs who are out of contention it means that they cannot pick up a young player who is finally getting some playing time as their NBA team is looking toward the future.
Additionally, we keep waivers open until our regular season ends. There is no reason not to have Free Agency open to the same date as waivers.
This should be true for all of our contract leagues.

I like it. We like our playoffs to be the strongest teams so if we can avoid going in battered in the last week or two then why not. It's a yes for me

I agree to standardize it across all contract leagues
