Hey Everyone,
We are going to do things a tad bit differently this offseason but I believe this will actually speed things up and make things more clearer for the draft this season.
Free agent resigning and rollover will happen first, then the draft, then right into free agency.
Here are the dates:
Free Agent Resigns, last years buyouts, waivers claims etc all need to be completed by Sunday, August 9th at 11:59pm EST.
Roster Freeze: All rosters will be frozen from Monday, August 10 at 12:00am EST till the beginning of the draft. The freeze may be lifted early if the roster is done early and everyone has verified there are no mistakes.
2015 NHL draft will take place beginning on Saturday, August 15 at 12:00pm EST. A complete draft list will be compiled shortly so everyone knows the exact 5 round order. Once the roster rollover happens this will be where all 2015 draft picks will be shown as the new sheet won’t the 2015 picks.
2015 Free Agency will begin on Sunday, August 23 at 12:00pm EST. This could be moved up earlier if the draft goes quick. Also we will try out free agency with a 24 hour clock instead of 36 as I think we have 16 GMs who are dedicated to this league. IF someone has issue with this please let me know. Just looking at ways to improve things.
