I think bumping the draft salary to maybe 2-4-6 might also help or even 3-6-9. Would need to run some numbers but it would essentially lower FA bids.

Also adds to FA with middle tier guys. For example if I don’t want to resign a WR3 to a $10 resign in year 4 (or whatever with a higher rookie salary) then he becomes a FA. That player is still useful and would get signed for say $7 by someone.

Yes the key is to get salaries of new incoming players to coincide with our 160 budget.
