After reviewing all of the league's discussions and posts regarding rules that needed updating, I brought all of those thoughts to the FSC Board and we worked out these changes to the Contract Hockey Rules.
2.2.1 If a GM has more than 2 days in a week where he has active non-goalie players who have games that day on his bench and spots on his roster filled with players who do not have games, he will be in violation of this rule.
First Offense – warning
Second Offense – 4th round pick drops to end of round
Third Offense – 3rd round pick drops to end of round
Fourth Offense – 1st & 2nd round picks drop to end of round
Fifth Offense – Removal from league
If another GM becomes aware of the violation, usually through their HTH match-up, they should report it immediately to the Commissioner who will then reach out to the offending GM. Reports of violations must be received by Monday of the following week.
4.1.4 Trade Deadline will be the earliest date after the NHL trade deadline that Yahoo offers.
5.4.1 Forced Call Ups - Goalie threshold for forced Call Up will be 41 games.
5.5.2.9 No Buyouts of 1 year Contracts in the off-season.
7.2.3 Free agents are defined as players who do not have a current contract with any fantasy team and are no longer minor league eligible i.e. have played a minimum of 1 game in the NHL.
7.3.1 Waivers are restricted as follows. Players placed on waivers can be recalled by the team that placed them on waivers year round. Players must remain on waivers for at least 48 hours before they can be recalled by the waiving GM but may be picked up immediately by all other GM’s. Recalled waivers must remain on the owner's roster for 48 hrs before they can be waived again. If you claim a player off waivers you must wait 48 hours before you can waive them.. No players may be placed on waivers or claimed off waivers from another team after our regular season ends. You may only recall your own waivers during this period. However, during this period you may move your players on or off waivers if the corresponding move is an IR move. The 48 hr waiver rule will not apply in the offseason. Refer to rule 13.1.1 for more clarity.
Playoffs will be set so that the finals occur in the second to last week of the NHL regular season.
