90 total picks were used this year, as we had a few holdovers from last year.
Catchers 5 First Base 4 Second Base 5 Shortstop 17 Third Base 6 Outfielders 21 Right Handed Pitchers 21 Left Handed Pitchers 7
Relief Pitchers 4
I have added birth year as a category, thought it was interesting to see the wide range of ages involved.
95 - 2, 96 - 1, 97 - 11, 98 - 10, 99 - 14, 00 - 14, 01 - 11, 02 - 12, 03 - 10, 04 - 4, 05 - 1 So an 11 year range with only a couple from the first 2 and last 2 years, but a very steady of a dozen from the middle 7 years.
And the breakdown by Major League team:
6 players drafted: Yankees (and 5 of them SS!) 5 players drafted: Texas, Dodgers, Seattle, Cleveland, St Louis, Cubs 4 players drafted: Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Miami, San Francisco 3 players drafted: Baltimore, Tampa Bay, Minnesota, Milwaukee, Washington, Cincinnati, San Diego 2 players drafted: Boston, Arizona, Angels, Toronto, Atlanta, White Sox 1 player drafted: Detroit, Colorado, Philadelphia, Houston, Oakland No players drafted: Mets (and they only had 1 last year)

Nice analysis. Glad I was there to help out the relief pitcher numbers, almost added another(merryweather) lol
Always interesting to look back about 5 years to see who drafted late gems and early busts

Not sure what to think there as a Mets fan with 1 pick in 2 years...

I hear ya, Blue Flames. I have been a Met fan for 58 years now, since I began using a Met glove as a pillow when I was 2. Maybe Cohen's billions will mean we don't need prospects, lol.
