Off-season buyouts of expiring 1 yr contracts should not be permitted. It makes it too easy to get out from under bad contracts.

Agree also and honestly this should be bought forward to mid season or the trade deadline. Also I think this should be change to you can buy them out but at full cost of the contract.

I think no money back makes sense. Should be able to buyout though in terms of roster space etc

We should just make buyouts be half the cost but over twice the term. Buy out a $40/1y contract and it costs you gain $20 this year but you still pay it out at $20 next year as dead cap space. Or something similar.

What about if we changed the rule to any player on a 1 year deal that gets bought out from the start of the fantasy playoffs until free agent frenzy begins has the cap hit go on that teams books for the following season?
