Due to teams keeping players in the minors longer to keep them under team control as well as how covid has affected MLB teams, would like to see the minor roster expanded by a couple of slots

CFL, I hear your point, and it is valid. But since I think that the league's biggest issue in the long run is not enough worthwhile players available in Free Agency each off-season, I don't think I would want anymore players "off the market". In fact, I think it might be good for there to be a restriction that players who turn 25, are playing in MLB, and have not been promoted by their FSC owner need to be put in the free agent pool.

So a manager should be punished for being patient waiting for a player to develop?? How would that make any sense? I would rather see us lower the games played requirements myself.

This league is fast becoming a dynasty league.
I would agree and like this change if other rules were changed but right now I’m against anything that turns this in to more of a dynasty league instead of a contract league.

Hitmen - That is kind of my point. The reason it is "fast becoming a dynasty league" is that we are having teams composed 75% of players that we drafted as prospects (even if we have acquired them by trade) and therefore own at a price well below market value. The Prospects are not under contract, they are Dynasty type players, owned until you bring them up. In order for it to be more of a contract league, we need more players under contract, who then may become free agents, available to the highest bidder. And we need those contracts to escalate faster or limit contract renewals, but that is a whole 'nother discussion.

So a manager that does careful drafting and can bring a player along shouldn't be able to reap the benefits more than a person who trades their picks evey year? That would push it more towards a dynasty league than anything else. I'll be the first to say this league has already gone downhill with all the changes we have implemented over the last few years, i.e. no streaming, limiting cap deals basically it's already at the point of setting the line up for the week and walking away.
1 manager hasn't logged in since July 17 1 since Aug 2 2 Aug 3

I will say that you make a good point in that there are significant limits on the long term strategic possibilities that having Contracts, Prospects, and Draft Picks could allow. With the Maximum and Minimum Cap rules you cannot make moves that will help you go all in for a year and then suffer the consequences down the road or sell off to get players for the future. And with the limited Prospect Roster you cannot stockpile Prospects beyond 20 in the hope of greatness down the road. It also deflates some of the value of Draft picks, since an owner who already has 18 Prospects rostered that he wants to keep going into the draft, and five of his own picks to use, can't really use three of them, and since a number of owners are in this type of situation, it is difficult to get much in return with a trade.
Far from setting my roster and walking away though, I usually check it before the day games, then again before the 7 o'clock Eastern games, and then sometimes a final time when there are a bunch of West Coast games.

What about getting rid of minor thresholds for undrafted players? Wouldn't that create more players under contract if we don't have to wait for them to play a certain amount of games?
