This is based on all closed Auctions as of Saturday evening 3/27 - 13 days into Free Agency.
Here is a breakdown of what we did and how it stacks up to the last couple of seasons.
We auctioned off 73 players for $412.25 of 2021 Cap and with a total Cap spent (incorporating 2-3-4 year deals) of $970.50.
This compares to $333.75 in 2020 Cap ($828.50 total) spent on 71 players, $648 of 2019 Cap spent on 70 players ($1,523.25 total) and $616.25 in 2018 ($1,205 total)
We had 51 players go for between $1 - $6.75
We had 8 players go for between $7.00 - $9.75
We had 12 players between $10 - $19.75, last year 6
We had 2 players above $20, Harper at $40, and Dom. Smith at $22, last year only Kershaw at $33, and in 2019 9 with 5 $20-29.75, 2 $30-39.75, 1 $40-49.75, and Trout at $60.
