In my estimation, I believe this decision (which was obviously made months ago, but only disclosed today) to be short-sighted and actually weakens our league. Contract Dynasty Football had three primary characteristics which make it unique from Standard Dynasty Football: an early (pre NFL) draft; its monetary aspect and the ability to draft college enrolled players. This decision stripped us of one of those qualities and does NOTHING to improve it. It is also my belief this change was solely made to appease a select few, those unwilling to do the in-depth research required for Contract Dynasty Football.

As I am the one who posted the suggestion to move the draft date, I want to share a thought. A quick check of a list of players likely to be drafted showed me that of the top 11 RB listed, we have already drafted 10. Of the top 9 WR we have drafted 8, and of the top QBs, surprisingly we have only 4 of the top 6, although I don't think anyone has done so little research as to not know about Joe Burrow. So I do not think that moving the date will turn this into a no preparation draft for us, as few players likely to be drafted will be available. What it will do is help create a bit of strategy. With a 4th or 5th round pick do I want to select that 6th round WR with the Detroit Lions, the kid who had the surprise Freshman year with Oregon that we didn't draft last year, or choose the #9 ranked WR in this year's High school senior class? As someone who also plays baseball, it is the equivalent choice to picking the player who just got drafted versus the one who had a surprise year in A ball versus the one who is 25 but is likely to be the Marlins starting RF this year. I do not challenge your opinion, or right to disagree, but that is how I think it improves the league to draft after the NFL does.
